Dentistry

We pay special attention to your pet’s dental hygiene. Bad breath can be more that just an unpleasant odor. It can be an indicator of tooth decay or gum disease, which left untreated, can lead to systemic infections and other serious illnesses. We routinely provide complete dental care, including cleaning, polishing, and extractions when necessary. Continual accumulation of dental tartar can cause pressure and inflammation of the gum tissue and eventually loosen teeth. The breath becomes odorous and the mouth becomes a source of pain and infection that can spread to deeper tissues and throughout the entire body. Excessive tartar and calculus can cause advanced gum disease and tooth decay that strains your pet's kidneys, liver, and heart. To ensure we are doing everything possible to provide the best dental care available we offer digital dental radiography. This helps the doctor to determine the safest, most painless, and effective way to extract teeth and as well as the root. This "picture" of the bones, roots, and teeth help us get a better look inside of the mouth in the least invasive way possible. We recommend a dental cleaning as soon as possible to halt the progression of disease and restore a healthier mouth. |
